The itinerary starts from Cimadolmo situated along the left bank of Piave River. Cimadolmo is a small town well-known (or famous) for its fields of white and delicious asparagus. Going on you move to San Polo di Piave, abundant in fresh waters full of shrimps.
Stop and visit the little church of San Giorgio, dating back to the 8th c. Here shrimps have been depicted in the Last Supper. Before leaving San Polo di Piave you have to visit Villa Papadopoli-Giol in romantic 19th century style. Now you move towards Ormelle, you are immersed in a landscape of particular beauty. Here we stop and discover the Church of Templars. Built at the end of the 12 th c. by the Knights of the order of the Temple. It still preserves traces of the characteristic red crosses of the Knights. Not far the River Lia runs and it gives the area (or site) a feeling of peace and calm.
You are crossing the Raboso Piave wine-growing area. You arrive at Tezze di Piave and you have to stop at Borgo Malanotte, a pictursque example of rural architecture. Tasting of the famous risotto with the asparagus of Cimadolmo (in season).
