There is something immediate about working with clay. The moment your hands press into the material — still cool, still soft — the mind follows. The studio near Padenghe sul Garda is a calm, creative space where that process begins simply: with earth, water, and a willingness to shape something from nothing.Over two hours, you will learn to knead, prepare, and model clay using a range of hand-building techniques, guided through each stage at a relaxed pace. No previous experience is needed — the focus is on touch, on form, and on the slow satisfaction of making something entirely your own.Once your piece is formed, it enters a process that is as fascinating as the making itself. After an initial firing at 980°, you will choose the glazes — colours that will shift and deepen in the heat. The second firing follows the Raku method: the piece is removed from the kiln while still glowing and placed among combustible materials, where smoke and flame leave their mark. The result is never entirely predictable — each piece carries the trace of fire, in patterns that cannot be planned or repeated.The studio takes care of the entire finishing process after your visit, and your completed piece will be shipped directly to your home. It arrives not just as an object, but as a record of an afternoon spent making something by hand.
