Wine tour and tasting of Valtenesi Wines near San Felice del Benaco

Start with a peaceful walk through the vineyard, where you’ll learn about the native Groppello grape and the unique growing conditions of the Valtènesi region—morenic hills, glacial soils, sunny exposure, and a breeze from Lake Garda that keeps the vines healthy and ripe.

Then step into the wine cellar, where the winemaker will guide you through the production process and introduce you to four Valtènesi DOC wines: two rosés and two reds. The rosés are elegant and delicate, while the reds range from fresh and fruity to rich and structured, with great aging potential. Each wine reflects the land it comes from, blending Groppello with grapes like Barbera, Sangiovese, and Rebo.

You’ll finish the experience in the garden, tasting the wines and the estate’s extra virgin olive oil, accompanied by a small buffet of local specialties.

On request, you can also book private tastings for groups—blind tastings, verticals of aged reds, or guided food and wine pairings.

So a vegetarian can eat two of the three and so can someone who is lactose intolerant. We always have a substitute bread for coeliacs.
